KYE-YAC’s Mentoring Program with the YMCA worked with the kids on a STEM project (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) ? but the kids didn?t quite realize it at first!
They just thought they were having fun making Flubber!? Later they learned flubber is a polymer made by a chemical reaction with glue, Borax, and other chemical bonds.? It produced a thick and sticky polymer called “Flubber” and they loved it!!
The kids learned they could stretch it, bounce it, roll it?. the possibilities were endless!? What a great way to learn about science!
