We had a lot of wintery fun with kids of all ages at the Mid America Science Museum!
Doug, the resident ?mad scientist? experimented with liquid nitrogen and dry ice – captivating his young audience and successfully sparking their innate intellectual curiosity.
The KYE-YAC crew enjoyed, as always, interacting one on one with young people and their insatiable imaginations on STEM projects with a cold weather theme – such as making hot ice and learning about a pine cone microscope table.
Simultaneously, a cold weather clothing drive allowed families to participation in Winterfest with a donation that benefitted children at a local school district. Kids who were in need of coats, mittens, or scarves were encouraged to grab a piece of clothing to protect them from the winter temperatures after their day of chilly lessons at the most amazing science museum!
